Ennai Kathirikkai

This curry famous in south India, brinjal make nice tastethis gravy. Ennai kathirikkai is quite different gravy. This curry makes to eat more because , the aroma is very nice to smell

Ingredients
  

  • 5 nos Brinjal
  • 1/2 cups Tamarind
  • Salt as needed

To Roast and Grind:

  • 1 tsp Sesame seed
  • 1 tbsp Peanuts
  • 2 tbsp Coriander seed
  • 3 tbsp Dry Coconut
  • 15 nos Small Onions
  • 1 nos Green chili
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 nos Garlic
  • 2 nos Cloves
  • 1" Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 nos Cardamom

Instructions
 

  • Roast sesame in dry pan
  • Add peanuts and coriander seed in that pan , roast well the aroma comes
  • Add dry coconut and roast well and put off the flame
  • Now add garlic,ginger,chili, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, fennel seed grind the powder
  • Add onions in that powder and make paste
  • Add chili and turmeric powder , salt.
  • Cut the brinjal four slit into down
  • Add the paste into the brinjal, you can see my pictuer for reference.
  • In other pan , puts some more oil add the brinjal and arrange like this
  • close with lead and make sure that turns brinjal side by side in pan
  • pour turmeric water and add salt as needed.
  • Now yummy Ennai Kathirikkai is ready to serve.
