Pumpkin Leaf Thoran

It is a traditional nadan curry prepared with pumpkin leaves. It goes well with boiled rice.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Pumpkin leaf
  • 1/2 cup Grated coconut
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Onion chopped
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Urad dal
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a kadai and add mustards.when it splutters add urad dal.Stir for a minute.
  • Chop pumpkin leaves very nicely.
  • Grind grated coconut,cumin seeds,onions and chilli powder and turmeric powder in a mixer..
  • Mix this ground mix with chopped pumpkin leaves and keep it aside.
  • Add this mix to kadai add salt and stir for 2 minutes.
  • Close the kadai with lid and cook pumpkin leaf for 5 minutes.
  • Now pumpkin leaf thoran is ready to serve.
