Mathanga Thoran

a sweet side dish you can take with rice. Pumpkin is a very versatile vegetable. It has a special place in Kerala cooking and we have lots of recipes with it.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gms Mathanga
  • 3 Smal onion
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 5 tablespoon Coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • Curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoon Grated coconut
  • 1 teaspoon Kaduku uluva
  • 5 Garlic chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Pepper
  • Jeerakam a pinch
  • Salt for taste

Instructions
 

  • Add oil in a pan and add green chillies, small onion, curry leaves and saute it well
  • Now add the mathanga to it and saute well
  • Then add crushed pepper, garlic, turmeric powder, jeerakam and mix well.
  • Sprinkle some water in it and cook in a medium flame.
  • Add the grated coconut to this and mix well and remove from fire.
