Mathanga Thoran
a sweet side dish you can take with rice. Pumpkin is a very versatile vegetable. It has a special place in Kerala cooking and we have lots of recipes with it.

200 gms Mathanga 3 Smal onion 2 Green chillies 5 tablespoon Coconut oil 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder Curry leaves 2 tablespoon Grated coconut 1 teaspoon Kaduku uluva 5 Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon Pepper Jeerakam a pinch Salt for taste
Add oil in a pan and add green chillies, small onion, curry leaves and saute it well
Now add the mathanga to it and saute well
Then add crushed pepper, garlic, turmeric powder, jeerakam and mix well.
Sprinkle some water in it and cook in a medium flame.
Add the grated coconut to this and mix well and remove from fire.
