North Indian Style Jeera Rice (Jeerakachoru)

Ingredients
  

  • Cooked Rice (preferably Basmati Rice) : as reqd
  • 4 tsp Jeera : 3 cumin seeds
  • Half boiled green peas : ½ cup
  • Ghee : as reqd
  • Salt : to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add the cumin seeds into the hot ghee.
  • Add the boiled green peas also.
  • When the colour of this mix turns into golden, add the cooked rice into it and stir it well, if necessary add some more salt also.
  • Jeera Rice is ready and can be served with Raitha (a dish prepared with curd, green chilli, tomato, onion etc.) / Pickle / Chutney etc.
