Bista Chicken Curry

Chicken curry with deep Fried Onion (Bista)

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Chicken
  • 3 nos Onion
  • 2 nos Tomato
  • 2 nos Green Chilly
  • 1 no Cinnamon
  • 1 no Cardamom
  • Ginger A small slice
  • 5 nos Garlic
  • 2 nos Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 cup Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin Seed
  • 1/4 Cup Coconut Grated
  • Coconut Oil As required
  • Salt As required

Instructions
 

  • Marinate chicken with little turmeric powder, chilly powder and salt for half an hour. Fry them till done. Cut onion nicely length wise, Put a little salt and deep fry and keep aside. Grind grated coconut and one tomato and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Splutter cumin seeds and add ginger, garlic, green chillies, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, Add finely chopped 2 tomatoes only.
  • When tomato becomes soft, add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder and salt and fry.
  • Add deep fried onions and saute for some time. After this add fried chicken and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add coconut-tomato paste and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
