Onion / Potato (or both) : 2 nos
Kadala maavu (Gram Flour) : 1 cup
Salt : to taste
Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : ½ tsp
Refined oil / coconut oil : as reqd
Instructions
Remove the skin of the onion / potato, wash it and then cut it into round shape.

Mix the kadala maavu with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt along with some water and make a paste (as of making dosa batter).
Boil the oil in a pan.
Dip the onion / potato slices in the batter and put it into the boiled oil and fry it well.

Serve with tomato sauce / coconut chutney or pickle.
