Matthi / Sardine : 500 gm(clean it well and wash 2

Oinion : 1 no(Make a paste onion grinding with salt and keep it aside)
Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
Pepper powder : 3 tsp
Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
Salt : as reqd
Coconut / Refined oil : as reqd ( to fry the Matthi)
Instructions
Add the onion paste and salt into the cleaned sardine .
To avoid sticking of sardine in the pan while frying, add some lemon juice into the mix .
Add red chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder with the sardine pieces, mix it well and keep it aside for some time.

Heat some oil in a frying pan and put the sardine pieces in it and fry both sides.

Varutha Matthi is ready and can be served with cooked rice.
