Ingredients
  

  • 3 times) Matthi / Sardine : 500 gm(clean it well and wash 2 clean it well and wash 2
  • Oinion : 1 no(Make a paste onion grinding with salt and keep it aside)
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Pepper powder : 3 tsp
  • Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Salt : as reqd
  • Coconut / Refined oil : as reqd ( to fry the Matthi)

Instructions
 

  • Add the onion paste and salt into the cleaned sardine .
  • To avoid sticking of sardine in the pan while frying, add some lemon juice into the mix .
  • Add red chilli powder, pepper powder and turmeric powder with the sardine pieces, mix it well and keep it aside for some time.

  • Heat some oil in a frying pan and put the sardine pieces in it and fry both sides.
  • Enter Step
  • Varutha Matthi is ready and can be served with cooked rice.
