Stuffed Chilli Potato Bhaji

Simple - Everyone loves a good potato bhaji

Ingredients
  

  • Green chillies : ½ k gm
  • Potatoes boiled and mashed : 3 nos
  • Besan / gram flour : 1 cup
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Baking soda : ¼ tsp
  • Freshly chopped coriander leaves : few
  • Salt : as reqd
  • Oil : for frying

Instructions
 

  • Slit the green chillies lengthwise.
  • Make a thick batter with the besan / gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and baking soda and keep aside.
  • Use water to make the batter as required.
  • Boil and mash the potatoes with salt and add chopped coriander leaves.
  • Stuff the chillies with the mashed potato and coat with the besan / gram flour batter.

  • Heat oil and deep fry the bhajis till golden brown in color.
  • Serve with coriander chutney.
