Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the salt followed by the butter.
Using your hands, rub the butter into the flour until crumbs form. Add the sugar to this and mix well.
Add 2 eggs, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt. Make dough.
Divide the dough into two to make rolling out easier, roll out to quarter inch thickness and start cutting your doughnuts.
If you want them crispy, roll the dough out thinner than quarter inch and cut out the doughnuts.
Keep doing this until all the doughnuts have been formed.
Deep fry them.
Heat ½ cups of milk and dissolve 1 cup of icing sugar to this.
When it comes to boil and becomes thick enough, turn off the flame, and pour over the doughnuts using a spoon, or you can dip them in the liquid.
