  • Sieve the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the salt followed by the butter.
  • Using your hands, rub the butter into the flour until crumbs form. Add the sugar to this and mix well.
  • Add 2 eggs, vanilla essence and a pinch of salt. Make dough.
  • Divide the dough into two to make rolling out easier, roll out to quarter inch thickness and start cutting your doughnuts.
  • If you want them crispy, roll the dough out thinner than quarter inch and cut out the doughnuts.
  • Keep doing this until all the doughnuts have been formed.
  • Deep fry them.
  • Heat ½ cups of milk and dissolve 1 cup of icing sugar to this.
  • When it comes to boil and becomes thick enough, turn off the flame, and pour over the doughnuts using a spoon, or you can dip them in the liquid.
  • Keep to cool and transfer to containers.
