Heat a pan add oil in it and when its hot add mustard to it .
When it splutters add ginger and garlic to it and stir well.
To this add shallot and stir well until it gets brown.
Then add dried red chilly and sauté well.
To this add coriander powder.
Sauté it well and add curry leaves to it.
Add little water.
When it gets boiled add the koonthal to it.
Then close the pan for 3 minutes and then add tomato to it.
Then add the red chilly if you needed .
Sauté it well and close the pan and wait until it gets cooked.
Transfer to the serving dish.
