Special Koonthal Roast

Ingredients
  

  • Koonthal (squid) : 1 k gm
  • Shallot : 12 nos
  • Garlic : 6 cloves
  • Ginger : 1 inch piece
  • Mustard : 2 tsp
  • Tomato : 1 no
  • Dried red chilly : 6 pieces
  • Salt : to taste
  • Chilly powder : 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder : 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves : 1 spring

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan add oil in it and when its hot add mustard to it .
  • When it splutters add ginger and garlic to it and stir well.
  • To this add shallot and stir well until it gets brown.
  • Then add dried red chilly and sauté well.
  • To this add coriander powder.
  • Sauté it well and add curry leaves to it.
  • Add little water.
  • When it gets boiled add the koonthal to it.
  • Then close the pan for 3 minutes and then add tomato to it.
  • Then add the red chilly if you needed .
  • Sauté it well and close the pan and wait until it gets cooked.
  • Transfer to the serving dish.
