Traditional Potato Masala

An excellent side dish for dosa / chappathi

Ingredients
  

  • Potato : 5 nos
  • Onions : 1 no
  • Chillies : 2 nos
  • Bengal gram : 1 tsp
  • Mustard : 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : pinch
  • Curry leaves : as needed
  • Salt : as needed

Instructions
 

  • Boil the potatoes and the chickpeas, add little salt. once its cooked, smash it and keep it aside
  • Add oil to a pan, when heated add the mustard and let it spurt
  • Add the chopped onions and chillies.
  • Enter Step
  • Add curry leaves along with the salt and turmeric powder.
  • Enter Step
  • Add the smashed potatoes and mix it well , if needed add half glass of water and let it blend.
  • Once done transfer to a bowl and serve.
