Karela Kerai

Ingredients
  

  • Boiled bitter gourd : ½ k gm
  • Red chilli powder : 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped onions : 2 nos
  • Finely chopped green chilli : 1 no
  • Dry mango powder : 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped Fenugreek leaves : 250 gm
  • Salt : as reqd
  • Oil : as reqd

Instructions
 

  • Take oil in a pan and add chopped green chilli.
  • Now add chopped onions and cook till it turns pink.
  • Cut the boiled bitter guard into small pieces and add to the cooked onions.
  • Close the lid of the pan after adding little amount of water and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  • Add Fenugreek leaves, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and again cook it for 5 minutes.
  • When bitter guard gets blended in the methi properly, add red chilli powder, dry mango powder and again cook for 2 minutes.
  • Ready to serve.
