- Heat oil in a clay pot, add sliced shallots, ginger, garlic, green chilies and salt. 
- Once they start to turn light brown, lower the flame and add turmeric powder, and Kashmiri chilli powder . Sauté till the raw smell goes away. 
- Add Kudampuli along with the water and prawns. Sauté well. 
- Add hot water to cook prawns and salt , and increase the heat. 
- Once it boils, cover and cook for 10 minutes or till the prawns gets cooked. 
- Heat oil in a pan for tempering, add mustard seed and let it splutter , add dry red chilies, sliced shallots and curry leaves. 
- Add fenugreek powder, Kashmiri chilli powder and roast on low flame. 
- Switch off the heat and add this to the curry. 
- Leave it covered for a minute. 
- Serve with hot rice..
