Dal Tadka 
Dal Tadka is a classic dish that combines lentils with a flavorful tempering of aromatic spices, creating a symphony of taste that is both satisfying and nourishing.

1  Cup  Dal 1  No.  Onion 1  No.  Tomato 2  Nos.  Green chilly 2½  Cup  Water 10  Nos.  Shallots 5  Cloves  Garlic 4  Nos.  Dried Red chilly ½  Tbsp  Cumin seeds 2  Tbsp  Oil/ghee 1  Tsp  Mustard seeds Few  Curry leaves  2  Tbsp  Chopped coriander leaves  
Add washed and drained dal to a pressure cooker. Then add sliced tomato, green chilly and onion. 
 Add water. 
 Add salt as required.  
 Pressure cook for 2-3 whistles on a medium heat. 
 While cooking dal,make the tempering preparations. Crush shallots, dried red chilly, garlic and cumin seeds. 
 Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds. 
 Add the crushed mixture add saute for 2 minutes.  
 Add few curry leaves. 
 Now add cooked dal. 
 Combine well and bring It to boil. Finally Add some chopped coriander leaves and turn the flame off. 
 Serve along with chappathi rice etc.
