Green Peas Curry

An easy dish with green peas and potato

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Green peas
  • 1 cup Potato
  • 1 cup Onion
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 5 nos Garlic pods
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • Water As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Boil green peas and potato along with turmeric powder and salt in sufficient water.
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add chopped onion and saute till light brown.
  • Add crushed ginger and garlic and green chillies.
  • Add coriander powder, salt, tomatoes and saute till it turns light red in colour.
  • Add boiled green peas and potatoes. Mix well.
  • Add sugar and mix well again.
  • Transfer the contents to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • :- Serve with rice, chapathis, pooris etc.
