Kerala Easy Pork Curry

Kerala Easy Pork Curry is one of the most beloved dishes in traditional Kerala cuisine that you will often find on menus during festivals, family gatherings.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Pork without outer skin layer
  • 2 Tbsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 Tbsp Whole black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 5 Nos Cloves Grambu
  • 2 Pieces Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 1 No. Cardamom Elakka
  • ½ Tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 2 Pieces Ginger Finely chopped
  • 1 Full pod Garlic Medium
  • ½ Cup Button onions Cut into small pieces, Kunjulli
  • 2 Nos. Bay leaves
  • 4 Stems Curry leaves
  • 2 Tsp Vinegar
  • Salt As reqd
  • Coconut oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Cut pork into medium sized pieces, remove outer layer of the skin, wash and keep aside. Marinate with salt and pepper powder.
  • Grind together all masala ingredients into a paste: red chilly powder, black pepper, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom cumin seeds, ginger/garlic paste and keeps aside.
  • Saute the onion in oil.
  • Add the ground masala and wait till the oil separates from the masala.
  • Add the pork along with curry leaves and pressure cook up to 3 whistles.
  • Add more hot water, if needed.
  • :- Check if pork is completely cooked and tender.
  • Add curry leaves and stir well.
  • :- Serve Kerala Easy Style Pork Curry hot with white rice or chappathis.
