Ingredients
  

  • Yellow Peas : 500 Grams
  • Chopped Onions : 2 Cups
  • Chopped Tomatoes : 2 Cups
  • Ginger garlic Paste : 1 Spoon
  • Split Green ChillIes : 6 nos
  • Red Chilly Powder : 2 Spoons
  • Mustard Seeds : 1 Spoon
  • Turmeric Powder : 1 Spoon
  • Salt : As Required
  • Refined Oil : 150 ml
  • Curry Leaves : 1/4 Cup
  • Coriander Leaves : 1 Cup

Instructions
 

  • Soak the Green peas overnight . Wash and boil on medium flame till the peas become tender.
  • Add oil to a deep bottomed pan and heat..
  • Splutter the mustard seeds, add chopped onions and turmeric powder, curry leaves and saute well. Add ginger-garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, red chilly powder and sufficient salt. Mix thoroughly and replace lid. Allow to simmer on medium flame till tomatoes are smooth.
  • Add one cup of water and mix . well. Cook on low flame till the water is reduced and oil shows up.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or Chapaties. Also serves as Snack item.
