Boil cleaned prawns with slit green chillies, curry leaves, 1/2 tbsp of coriander powder, 1 tbsp of chilly powder and 1 tbsp of turmeric powder.
When cooked, add salt as required.
Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
Fry chopped ginger garlic for a while.
Add onion and coconut pieces followed by the remaining portions of red chilly powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder.
Keep frying till the onion is golden brown and the masala brings out a nice aroma.
Add the chopped tomatoes and keep frying for another 2 mins.
Finally add the cooked prawns to this mixture.
Keep on medium flame and fry till the prawns start becoming brown and fried.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
