Goats brain cooked in traditional masala

  • 1/4 kg Brain
  • 1 no Onion
  • 1 no Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • 1 no Clove Grambu
  • 15 gm Red chillies
  • 15 gm Coriander seeds
  • 15 gm Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 20 gm Pepper powder
  • Turmeric powder A pinch
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd


  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Dry roast red chilli, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds in a kadai and powder them.
  • Add the cinnamon and clove.
  • Fry onion until it is golden brown in colour.
  • Add the ground masala and salt and cook well.
  • Add the cut brain pieces.
  • Add the pepper powder and cook without adding water.
  • :- Do not keep stirring as it will get mashed.
  • Cook the brain for a long time such that it is firm.
