Bread Upma - An Evening Snack

Ingredients
  

  • 6 nos Bread slices
  • 1 cup Yoghurt
  • 2 nos Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 nos Onions finely chopped
  • 1 no Carrot finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Peas
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Black gram Uzhunnuparippu
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 4 tsp Oil
  • Curry leaves A few
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Soak the bread slices in yoghurt for 10 mins.
  • Remove the bread from the yoghurt and cut them into pieces.
  • Cut onion, tomatoes and carrot into small pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Splutter mustard seeds and black gram.
  • Add curry leaves and chopped onion and saute till the raw smell of the onion leaves.
  • Add tomatoes and carrot and fry for sometime.
  • Add the bread pieces followed by salt and chilly powder.
  • Mix well.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
