Potato Halwa - Unique Taste

A sweet halwa for all those with a sweet tooth

Ingredients
  

  • 250 ml Milk
  • 2 nos Potato medium
  • 2 tbsp Double cream
  • 75 gm Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar optional
  • 50 gm Butter
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 25 gm Raisins and Cashew nuts Onakkamunthiri
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 tbsp Cardamom powder Elakka

Instructions
 

  • Grind the potatoes into a coarse paste.
  • Heat a sauce pan.
  • Melt the butter and add the potato paste into it.
  • Saute it for a couple of mins.
  • Add milk, double cream and sugar and stir well.
  • Add vanilla essence and cardamom powder.
  • Keep stirring until a thread like consistency is achieved.
  • Now remove it from the fire.
  • In a small wok roast the raisins and cashew nut in ghee.
  • Pour this ghee along with the cashews and raisins on top of the halwa.
  • Allow the halwa to cool for an hour.
  • :- You may refrigerate as well.
  • Once cool your halwa is ready.
