Dahi Chicken - North Indian Style

Ingredients
  

  • 750 gm Chicken cut into medium pieces
  • 300 gm Curd
  • 1 tsp Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Ginger paste
  • 5 - Green chillies
  • 100 gm Butter
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Onion(sliced thinly)
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Wash the chicken pieces and add the curd to it.
  • :- Do not beat the curd.
  • Marinate it to about 45 mins.
  • Heat butter in a pan or a kadai.
  • Add cumin seeds and all the pastes in it.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Add the marinated chicken.
  • Cover and cook for 15 mins till the water disappears.
  • Add onions and green chillies.
  • Cover and cook for 5 mins.
  • Transfer it to a serving bowl.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
