Easy Pepper Chicken

  • 1 kg Chicken skinned and cut into pieces
  • 1 1/2 " Ginger sliced
  • 10 nos Garlic pods peeled and sliced
  • 2 cup Yoghurt/Curd
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 3/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil


  • Place the chicken in a large bowl.
  • Add yoghurt, turmeric, garam masala, pepper powder and salt.
  • Mix well together and keep aside for 30 mins.
  • Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
  • Saute ginger and garlic, till brown.
  • Add the marinated chicken.
  • Close with a lid and cook, till the chicken is almost done.
  • Remove the lid and allow the water to get absorbed.
  • Remove from flame, when the chicken is cooked and there is enough gravy to coat the chicken.
  • :- This dish is not a gravy dish. You can alter the amount of pepper and garam masala according to your taste.
