Paneer And Cabbage Kulcha (Stuffed Kulcha)

Paneer and Cabbage Kulcha is an amazing and a tasty Punjabi style breakfast dish. It prepared with Maida, Paneer and cabbage. Kids will love to eat it.

Ingredients
  

For making the dough:

  • 500 gm All purpose flour Maida
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking powder
  • ½ tsp *Fresh yeast
  • ½ cup Curd
  • 50 gm Butter
  • Milk and water mixture lukewarm
  • 15 gm Black cumin seeds kala jeera
  • * Fresh Yeast may not be available everywhere. You may use ½ tsp Dry Yeast instead if required.

For the stuffing:

  • 250 gm Cabbage grated
  • 250 gm Paneer grated
  • Carrot As reqd, grated
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Garam masala
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper

Instructions
 

  • For making the dough: 1)Sieve the baking powder, 1 tsp of salt and maida together.
  • Melt the butter and add to this and mash it with your palm for about 15 minutes till it becomes fluffy.
  • Add black cumin seeds or kala jeera.
  • Make a well in the center of maida mixture and put milk, curd, sugar and spread fresh yeast on it.
  • When the yeast starts bubbling, knead the mixture to make a slightly elastc dough. Keep aside for 5-6 hours.
  • For making the stuffing: 1)Mix cabbage, carrot and paneer together.
  • Add salt, black pepper, garam masala.
  • Make balls off the maida dough.
  • Stuff the mixture into maida balls and roll into slightly thick rotis. Grill it in tandoor till done. 4) May garnsih with finely chopped fresh coriander leaves. Makes: 10-12 Kulchas
