Tamil Nadu Style Coconut Chutney
A side dish for dosas and idlis.
- 1/2 cup Bengal gram(puffed) Kadalaparippu
- 1 cup Grated coconut
- 4 nos Green chillies
- 1/2 inch Ginger
- 1 tsp Tamarind pulp
- Salt As reqd
- 1 tsp Oil
- 1 tsp Mustard seeds
- Asafoetida A pinch, Kayam
- Curry leaves A few
Take puffed Bengal gram and put it in a blender to grind it into a fine powder.
Add grated coconut, ginger, green chillies, tamarind juice and water.
Grind it to a paste and add salt.
Transfer the contents into a bowl.
Finally, season with mustard seeds, a pinch of asafoetida and curry leaves.
:-Serve with hot idlis and dosas.
