Mutta Thoran | Scrambled Eggs With Coconut

  • 1 no. Onion sliced
  • 1 no. Green chilly chopped
  • 2 nos. Egg
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 cup Coconut(grated)
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Few Curry Leaves
  • As reqd Salt


  • Take all the ingredients and keep it ready.
  • Heat coconut oil in a pan. Add sliced onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add green chilly, turmeric powder and salt. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the grated coconut, Roast till they turn dry and an aroma is released.
  • Finally pour the eggs to the pan on top of the masala. Fry till the content looks dry. That’s the Thoran consistency .
  • Egg Thoran is ready. Serve hot.
