Homemade Tomato Ketchup With Video

  • 1/2 Kg Tomato
  • 2 Cloves garlic
  • 2 No Red chili
  • 2 No Kashmir red chili
  • 1/4 Piece Onion
  • 1/4 Piece Beet root
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Vinegar


  • In a pressure pan add chopped tomato with 1/4 cup water.
  • Now add garlic and chillies.
  • Now add onion, beetroot and salt.
  • Now close and pressure cook for 2 whistles. After pressure settles down, allow to cool.
  • Now transfer to mixie and grind well.
  • Now strain in filter strainer and extract the pulp and keep aside.
  • In pan add that pulp and bring to boil.
  • Now add sugar and mix well.
  • Now add vinegar and boil well.
  • Now check whether it's boiling well. For right consistency, pull the ketchup in pan with spatula if it makes gap and line in pan without sticky, that is the right consistency. Turn off.
  • Now allow to cool and then transfer to air tight containers.
  • Homemade Tomato Ketchup is ready.
