Mutton Chops ( Andhra Style )

Mutton Chops when cooked properly are really tender and tastes delicious. Andhra style mutton chops are spicy, easy to make and very tasty. This mutton chops cooked in a masala style with oions, tomatoes, fresh pappercorns, ginger, garlic and embedded in the grinded masalas and goat pieces. This is a dry dish and goes well with sambar rice, rasam, roti or parata.

Ingredients
  

  • Mutton Big pieces 1/2 kg
  • Onion 2 no.
  • tomato 1 no.
  • green chili 2 no.
  • cashews 5 to 6 no.
  • curry leaves 1 sprinkle
  • Garlic 6 no.
  • ginger small piece
  • Salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • To grind
  • Coconut 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seed 1/2 tsp
  • fennel seed 1/2 tsp
  • Black Pepper corn 2 tbsp
  • Roasted gram 2 tsbp
  • clove 3 no.
  • cinnamon small piece
  • Cardamom 3 no.

Instructions
 

  • Slice the onion and chop the tomato, green chili
  • Grinned the all the masala which mentioned above
  • Heat the oil in the kadai and temper the mustard, curry leaves, ginger, garlic and green chili
  • add onion, cashews and saute it until it turn golden brown
  • add tomato and mix well
  • add grinded masala and mix well
  • add salt and turmeric powder and mix it
  • add mutton chops pieces and mix well and allow to cook in the medium flame for 5 mins by covering with lid
  • add required water to cook the mutton
  • once water gets dry and the mutton get cooked well keep the flame in low for 5 mins and turn off it
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. mutton chops is ready
