Tapioca With Sauteed Onions

Tapioca with Sautéed Onions is a different style of dish preared with tapioca and onions. This is a perfect side dish for, rotis, chappathis even with rice. This is a simple curry where in the boiled tapioca is sauted with spices and onions.

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ kg Tapioca
  • 2 onions finely sliced
  • ½ tsp Mustard seeds
  • 2-3 whole red chilies
  • 2-3 tbsp Coconut oil
  • Salt

Instructions
 

  • Remove the tapioca skin and cut into thin long slices
  • Boil in a pan with water for 15 minutes and drain off the water.
  • Heat coconut oil in a kadai and when the coconut oil is hot add the mustard seeds.
  • When it has spluttered and the whole red chilies cut into pieces.
  • Add the sliced onions and sauté till they turn pink in color.
  • Now add the par boiled tapioca and ½ cup water and salt.
  • Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes till the water has dried up.
  • The Tapioca with Sautéed Onions is ready to serve.
  • Tapioca with Sautéed Onions can be served with roti or along with rice and dal/curry as an accompaniment.
