Mango Phirni

Mango is one of the most versatile of fruits and can be added to a wide range of dishes from salads to desserts to main course. Before the mango season ends, I wanted to share another classic Indian dessert prepared with ripe mangoes. Mango Phirni a variation to the traditional Phirni recipe.Phirni is an Indian rice pudding like dessert.

Ingredients
  

  • Mango 1 no.
  • Basmati rice 1/2 cup
  • milk 1/2 litre
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • Cardamom powder 2 tsp
  • nuts to garnish

Instructions
 

  • peel the skin of the mango and make Puree
  • soak the basmati rice for 15 mins in water
  • grind the rice to smooth paste
  • boil the milk
  • once the milk get boiled add the rice paste and stir continuously
  • add sugar and stir it
  • add cardamom powder and mix it
  • once the rice get boiled well add mango puree and stir it
  • stir continuously for 5 mins in low flame
  • now mango phirni is ready to serve garnish with nuts
