clean and wash 5 times the sundakka
in a pressure cooker add dal, salt, turmeric powder, castor oil, garlic and one tomato and allow for 3 whistle
chop the small onion, tomato and red chili
soak the sundakka in tamarind water for 1/2 hour
in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal, cumin seed, asafoetida and curry leaves
add onion and red chili and saute it until the onion turn into golden brown
add tomato and mix well
add sundakka and tamarind water and mix well
add little water and allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame
add sambar powder and salt and mix well and allow to cook for 5 mins
transfer sundakka into boiled and mix well
add 2 glass of water and allow to cook until the sundakka get cooked
now sundakka sambar is ready
