- sundakka 1 cup -
- dal 1 cup -
- Tomato 2 no. -
- small onion 1/2 cup -
- red chili 2 no. -
- garlic 3 no. -
- Salt to taste -
- Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp -
- sambar powder 2 tsp -
- tamarind water 1/2 cup -
- Oil : 4 tsp -
- castor oil 1 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -
- cumin seed 1/4 tsp -
- Asafoetida : 2 pinch -
- Curry leaves 1 bunch -
- Coriander leaves : to garnish -

Instructions
- clean and wash 5 times the sundakka
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal, cumin seed, asafoetida and curry leaves
- add tomato and mix well
- add little water and allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame
- add sambar powder and salt and mix well and allow to cook for 5 mins
- transfer sundakka into boiled and mix well
- add 2 glass of water and allow to cook until the sundakka get cooked
- now sundakka sambar is ready
