Maharashtrian Pork Gravy

Delicious and spicy pork gravy

Ingredients
  

  • Pork : 500 gm
  • Onion chopped : 1 large
  • Garlic cloves : 12 nos
  • 12 nos Curry leaves – 10
  • Chilli powder : 1 ½ tsp
  • Turmeric Powder: 1 tsp
  • coriander powder : 2 tsp
  • Cumin & pepper : 1 ½ tsp fry and powdered
  • Vinegar : 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil : 1 tsp
  • Whole masalas : 1 1 - 2 small stick cinnamon, 4 cloves and 3 cardamom
  • Coconut pieces : few

Instructions
 

  • Clean and wash the pork pieces.
  • Heat a pan put only the fat pieces to remove all the extra fat.
  • Heat oil in a pan add whole masalas [cinnamon, cardamom,cloves] fry till fragrant.
  • Add chopped onion, garlic, coconut pieces and curry leaves. Stir still the onion turns translucent.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
  • Add the pork pieces.
  • Stir well and cover it, cook for 2 - 3 minutes, for all masalas coat with the pieces.
  • Now put this pork into the cooker.
  • Pour enough water to cook.
  • Stir and close the cooker. Allow to cook for 3 minutes in full flame.
  • Then cook in low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Open the lid and add cumin pepper powder and vinegar. Stir and cook for few seconds.
  • Remove into a bowl and serve hot.
