Ingredients
  

  • Fish : 3 nos
  • Onion : 1 no (chopped)
  • Coriander leaves : few
  • Mint leaves : few
  • Turmeric powder : 1 tsp
  • Chilli powder : 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder : 1 tsp
  • Fish masala : 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste : 1 tsp
  • Garam masala : ½ tsp
  • Green chillies : 2 nos
  • Tomato : 2 nos ( chopped)
  • Tamarind : 1 small piece
  • Plantain leaf : 4 nos

Instructions
 

  • Grind together the coriander leaves, mint leaves and a green chilli.2) Apply the ground paste, turmeric, salt and a tsp of chilli powder in to fish.
  • Keep aside for 10 minutes.4) Slightly fry the fish both sides in a tawa. Keep aside the fish pieces.
  • In a kadai, heat oil and sauté ginger-garlic paste, onion, green chillies and garam masala.6) Add tomato, chilli powder, coriander, fish masala and cook masala well.
  • Add the tamarind water and add salt accordingly.8) Make it a semi masala.9) Heat the plantain leaf in flame and cut the leaf into a square shape.10) Keep the masala (1 tbsp) inside leaf and keep the fish piece above. Cover the fish piece again with masala.
  • Repeat this for other fish pieces also.12) Tie the fish piece properly. Again roast the fish in tawa for 10 minutes.
  • Very tasty fried fish is ready.
