Marinate the chicken pieces with salt and lime juice. Keep this aside.
In a kadai, dry roast the pepper, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom.
Add the red chillies and curry leaves. Fry them.4) In a mixer, add the roasted items, coriander, chilli powder, chicken powder. Grind it to a paste.5) In a pressure cooker, add 2 tbsp of oil.6) Saute onion, ginger-garlic paste and the ground paste. Fry them well till oil clears.
Add chopped tomato and chicken pieces and fry again.8) Add little water and pressure cook the chicken.
When done, allow to evaporate the excess water.
Make it a semi masala. Varutharacha naadan kozhi curry is ready.
