Unniappam - Soft And Tasty

Naadan unniappams made with rice flour and semolina/vermicelli

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Rice flour
  • 250 gm Semolina
  • 500 gm Maida
  • 750 gm Jaggery
  • Coconut half pc
  • 3 nos Banana
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 5 nos Cardamom
  • Salt As reqd
  • Water As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • Melt jaggery in a little water.
  • Add rice flour, maida, semolina to the melted jaggery and mix it well.
  • Grind banana and add it into the mixture and make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil in a vessel and fry the coconut till brown color.
  • Add fried coconut, cumin seeds and cardamom into the batter.
  • Heat oil in appachatti.
  • Spoon in the batter and fry both sides till it turns dark brown color.
