Ingredients
  

  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 Cardamom
  • 1 Cinnamon
  • ½ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 Chillies
  • 2 Onion 1 for sauteing and 1 for garnishing
  • 1 tsp Ginger/garlic paste
  • 300 g Basmati rice
  • Saffron few strands
  • Milk little

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil and add fry cloves, cardamom and cinnamon
  • Add cumin seeds and fry
  • Add the onion and chilli. The onion should be cut into big cubes
  • Add the ginger and garlic paste
  • Add the rice and fry for 2 minutes (Soak the rice for half an hour)
  • Add water (1:2 ratio), keep in high flame.
  • Add the saffron to little of milk. When the water starts bubbling reduce the flame and add the saffron and milk. Close the lid and cook in low flame.
  • Fry onions, cashew and badam for garnish
  • Garnish the rice and serve hot
