Instructions
Boil the potatoes and cut into cubes.
In a mortar and pestle mash the chopped ginger, green chilies and salt to a coarse paste.
Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add rye and when it crackles add the whole jeera and urad dal and fry till the dal turns a golden brown color.
Add the curry leaves and the minced ginger , green chilies and salt paste and stir fry for 1 minute. Add the haldi powder and fry for one more minute.
Add the boiled potato cubes and mix well till the potatoes are coated with the masala.
Serve hot with puris and a wedge of lime.
