Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients
  

For Marination:

  • 500 g Boneless Chicken
  • 2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam podi
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • 2 tbsp Curd
  • Red food color optional
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt As reqd

For Gravy:

  • 1 cup Onions finely sliced
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam podi
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 2 springs Coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • For preparing chicken tikka masala, marinate the chicken pieces with red chilly powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, curds, red food colouring, oil and salt for 2 hours.
  • Heat a non stick pan and roast the chicken on medium flame till crisp and cooked(do not add oil).
  • For gravy: 3)Heat butter in a vessel, add onions and saute till it becomes brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and sautT well.
  • After that, add tomato puree, turmeric powder, cumin powder and chilly powder. Saute it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add the chicken pieces and pour in required water to get the right consistency. Allow it to simmer till the gravy becomes thick.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Chicken tikka masala is ready. Serve hot with chapathi, bread, etc.
