For preparing chicken tikka masala, marinate the chicken pieces with red chilly powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, curds, red food colouring, oil and salt for 2 hours.
Heat a non stick pan and roast the chicken on medium flame till crisp and cooked(do not add oil).
For gravy:
3)Heat butter in a vessel, add onions and saute till it becomes brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and sautT well.
After that, add tomato puree, turmeric powder, cumin powder and chilly powder. Saute it for 2-3 minutes.
Now add the chicken pieces and pour in required water to get the right consistency. Allow it to simmer till the gravy becomes thick.
Garnish with coriander leaves.
Chicken tikka masala is ready. Serve hot with chapathi, bread, etc.
