Tasty Fried Fish Moliee

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 kg Fish sliced
  • 3 nos Onion sliced
  • 3 nos Tomato slices
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Ginger sliced
  • 6 cloves Garlic sliced
  • 4 nos Green chillies sliced
  • 2 cups Coconut milk 2nd
  • 1 cup Coconut 1st
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Coconut oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing tasty fried fish moliee, rub the fish pieces with turmeric, pinch of chilly powder and salt.
  • Shallow fry the fish and keep aside.
  • Heat coconut oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add onion and fry well.
  • Crush the ginger, garlic and green chillies. Add to onion and fry again.
  • Add tomato and saute.
  • Add chilly powder, coriander, fenugreek, turmeric and salt.
  • Add vinegar and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add fish pieces and mix well.
  • Add 2nd coconut milk and cover. Cook the fish till done.
  • When done, do not mix with ladle, just turn the pan.
  • Add the 1st coconut and thicken the gravy.
  • Pour 1 tbsp coconut oil on top with curry leaves. Serve hot with mutta rice.
  • Tasty fried fish moliee is ready.
