Instructions
For preparing shahi chana dal rice, heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add asafoetida, split chickpeas and water and cook the split chickpeas partially.
When the split chickpeas is half cooked, add rice, salt and cook till done on a low flame.
Reduce flame and add the remaining ghee and dates.
Cook till the dates soften a little.
Shahi chana dal rice is ready. Serve hot.
