Rajma Chaaval

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cup Rajma beans
  • 2 cups Basmathi rice
  • 2 nos Cardamom Elakka
  • 2 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 5 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 2 nos Onion
  • 1 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 nos Tomato chopped
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing rajma chaaval, wash rajma and soak it in water over night.
  • Add cardamom, cloves and garlic with soaked rajma and cook it.
  • Saute onion and ginger in oil. Fry well.
  • Add chilly powder, turmeric, garam masala and salt. Add some water and fry well.
  • Then add tomato and fry.
  • Add cooked rajma and cook well.
  • Add rice and 2 cups of water. Cook till the rice is done.
  • Rajma chaaval is ready.
