Ingredients
  

  • 10 nos Shallots kunjulli
  • 1/2 cup Coconut grated
  • 1 no Tomato
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds Uluva
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 lemon Tamarind
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 2 nos Dry red chillies
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing nadan ulli theeyal, first roast grated coconut, onion, coriander powder, chilly powder, turmeric and fenugreek seeds till brown.
  • Grind them well.
  • Heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, red chillies and add tomato.
  • When tomato becomes soft, add the ground paste.
  • Add salt and tamarind water.
  • Cook well. Add curry leaves.
  • When gravy becomes thick, remove from flame.
