Vadugapuli Naranga Curry

A tasty recipe using lemon, tastes like inji curry

Ingredients
  

  • 1 no Wild lemon chopped
  • 1 piece Ginger chopped
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 nos Jaggery crushed, sharkara
  • 1 tbsp Groundnut oil
  • Curry leaves Few
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 2 nos Red chillies
  • Tamarind lemin sized

Instructions
 

  • For preparing vadugapuli naranga curry, heat pan and pour oil. Add lemon pieces and fry well. Drain and keep aside.
  • In the same oil(add more oil if required), splutter mustard seeds and fry red chillies and curry leaves.
  • Add ginger, green chillies, chilly powder and turmeric powder.
  • Fry for a while(simmer flame).
  • Add salt and jaggery.
  • Add tamarind juice.
  • Allow to boil and add lemon pieces.
  • Vadugapuli naranga curry is ready.
