Ingredients
  

  • 10 nos Jackfruit seeds peeled and sliced
  • 100 g Broad beans sliced, Amarakka
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup Coconut grated
  • 4 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Split black gram Uzhunnu parippu
  • 3 nos Dry red chillies
  • 2 nos Shallots chopped, Kunjulli
  • 3 springs Curry leaves
  • Oil As reqd
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1/2 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • For preparing jackfruit seeds amarakka thoran, first cook together jackfruit seeds and broad beans adding turmeric powder, chilly powder, required salt and some water.
  • Grind grated coconut, garlic, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Pour this paste to the above cooked ingredients and heat in low flame for 3 minutes with a closed lid.
  • Splutter mustard seeds, black gram, dry red chillies, shallots and curry leaves. Add this to the cooked ingredients.
  • Jackfruit seeds amarakka thoran is ready. Serve hot.
