Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Ragi
  • 1/2 cup Wheat
  • 1/2 cup Split black gram Uzhunnu Parippu
  • 1/2 cup Green Gram Cheru payar
  • 1/2 cup Yellow lentils Thuvara Parippu
  • 3 nos Red chillies
  • 2 nos Green chillies
  • 1 spring Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Asafoetida powder Kaayam
  • Salt As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing diabetic idly, immerse the grains in water for about 3 hours and make a coarse batter adding chillies, salt and asafoetida.
  • Ferment for about 3-4 hours, add curry leaves and make idly¦s.
  • Diabetic idly¦s are ready.
  • Note: 1)Keep the remaining batter in the refrigerator after 3-4 hours to avoid more fermentation.
