Idli | Soft Idlis

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cups Boiled rice
  • 2 cups Raw rice
  • 1 cup Urad dal Uzhunnu parippu
  • 3 - Salt
  • 1 tsp Fenugreek seeds

Instructions
 

  • For preparing idli, soak boiled rice and raw rice together in water. Add fenugreek seeds.
  • Soak urad dal in water separately.
  • After 3 hours grind them separately.
  • After grinding, mix both the items to make a batter (Kindly note that idli preparation can be made only after 6 to 7 hours of fermentation).
  • Pour the batter in idli maker plates(idli tray). Oil the idli plate with gingelly oil if it is stainless steel.
  • Steam the idli until done.
  • Idli recipe, is ready.
