Tamilnadu Special Vada

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Split bengal gram Kadala parippu
  • 1/2 cup Pigeon peas Masur parippu
  • 2 tbsp Green gram Cherupayar Parippu
  • 2 tbsp Black gram Uzhunna parippu
  • 2-3 nos Green chillies chopped
  • Asafoetida A pinch
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • Salt As reqd
  • Curry leaves As reqd
  • Oil As reqd

Instructions
 

  • For preparing tamilnadu special vada, roast and powder split bengal gram, pigeon peas, green gram and black gram.
  • Mix all the grams with required water to make a thick dough and keep it aside for 20 min.
  • Add the ground mixture, green chillies, asafoetida, onion, curry leaves and salt. Mix well.
  • Pat into round patties and deep fry till light brown in colour.
  • Tamilnadu special vada is ready. Serve hot with chutney.
